The Doctor’s Large Night Guard For Nightime Teeth Grinding(Bruxism)

by Alexa on October 31, 2010

The Night Guard was designed by a dentist to help people that suffer from bruxism or night time teeth grinding. This is a serious problem for a lot of people around the world and can cause all kinds of severe dental health issues.

Grinding your teeth at night while you sleep can cause them to chip or break, recede your gum line, and cause temperature sensitivity. But, if you have a good mouth guard to wear, you will minimize these issues and get a much better night’s sleep without having to worry about constant trips to your dentist.

Rather than spending hundreds of dollars to have your dentist mold a custom mouth piece for you, you can purchase a system like this and mold them in your own home. It only takes a few minutes in boiling water and a few seconds to cool them down in cold water before putting them in your mouth.

Then you bite down and hold for a minute of two and they are completely molded to fit you and you alone. You can easily trim some of the excess material off with a sharp knife to make them fit better after you mold them to your teeth if you need to.

These mouth guards are not meant to be a cure for bruxism or any other dental issue and shouldn’t be worn if you have dentures or braces of any kind. You should consult your dentist if you have any unusual side effects such as sores or bruising, jaw pain, clicking or popping after using a mouth guard.

These can be serious issues that have to do with a jaw disfiguration and can cause you to grind your teeth at night, also. Regular dental checkups are needed to make sure your teeth are healthy.

I have purchased many different kinds of dental guards over the years and this is, by far, one of the most comfortable I have tried. I haven’t had any issues with sores or slippage, and they are quite effective at keeping my teeth from grinding when I sleep. I noticed a reduction in morning jaw pain the first night I used these, and you just can’t beat the price. I would highly suggest these to anyone that has issues with bruxism. They arrived very quickly and were easy to use right out of the package. Now, I can sleep peacefully at night and feel revived in the morning when I awake.

I have had issues with grinding my teeth for years. I have even had to have dental work done because of broken and chipped teeth; these guards have worked wonders for me. They were very easy to use and getting them to fit in my mouth was simplistic enough. You would be foolish to purchase those overly expensive guards that may last only 6 months, having to buy another set again. With these, they are cheap enough to purchase a few sets a year and not put you in the hole. I am very pleased with my experience and look forward to buying more of them the next time I need mouth guards.

My dentist said that I needed to have my teeth molded for a set of dental guards to help with my grinding problems. I didn’t have the money to go through all of that and decided to search around online to see if I could find an alternative. That is when I found these and decided to give them a try. While they may not be professional enough for some people, they worked very well for what I needed them to do. Even my dentist noticed the difference during my last check up, and he is now telling everyone about these dental guards, too.

I have had bruxism my entire life and these guards are the best I have ever seen. They fit very well in my mouth and I have had no issues with waking up to find them lying next to me on my pillow like other brands I have tried. I strongly recommend these dental guards to anyone that has had issues with guards in the past not staying in place. Give them a try and see how nice it is to not have jaw and tooth pain when you wake up in the morning. You won’t be sorry that you tried them; that’s for sure.
